Judy, RVTrine (and other enzyme-type
cleaners) will liquify the "piles" if allowed
to remain in the tank long enough to do the job (say between rallies or
trips).
And then continue to use that same product until you have used it all,
but 
according to directions.  Another less 
expensive remedy I found effective at less
cost is old fashioned 20 Mule Team Borax
(not Boraxo).  Add a saturated solution from a glass or plastic
container (about
a quart of two of water and saturated means as much as will dissolve in
warm
water -- not hot).  Dump it in an empty
tank, fill the tank about 2/3's full of water
and take it for a long ride; let it set, or use
it until the tank is full before dumping.  A
tank should be at least 2/3's full, or full,
before dumping.  The wand is great but I
hate to drag a hose inside my trailer,
although Campers Choice and Camping
World have an attachment for the lavatory
faucet which you can use with a short 4 ft. hose, also available from CC
or CW.  A
couple of buckets of water flushed through
after dumping the tank, will help, always.

I have not forgotten the Blue Beret's; just 
have not found all of them.  At various times we have had a quick
trailercleaning
(company coming!) and they have been
scarfed up and are in various boxes or bags.  I need to move all of them
for lack
of room (full timers) and would like for you
to get as many as I can find.
