Hunter,
         I have never heard any compressor "firing up", just a nice quiet 
fan.  No sudden difference in power.  Charlie/Betty Burke wrote that they 
thought it looked like the stock Armstrong Air Conditioner that Airstream 
put in the units until 1969.

Any ideas on how to make it run cold?
