I live in Montana along the continental divide.  I have used whistles
for years.  I have seen them work time after time.  They DO WORK.  The
California Highway Patrol and other state police agencies use them
because they work.  Some insurance companies (like State Farm) give them
to their customers at no charge.  What is the big deal?
