I pulled out the manual, and I have
the BD TorqLoc Converter. It comes with a 3-way toggle switch. Off,
On when the exhaust brake is activated, and On manually.
Apparently there are some slight
differences in operation between your Dodge BD brake, and the Ford BD brake, but
with all vehicles, it says that the transmission should be taken out of
overdrive below 40 mph to prevent a shudder when the speed is reached at which
the TorqLoc unit disengages. This speed is somewhere around 25-30
mph.
