RE: [a/s] Help! Torque nut rating?



The bearing nuts are not torqued. To achieve the proper tightness, use the
following procedure:
*	First, loosen the nuts that are now over-tightened
*	Re-tighten the nuts, spinning the wheel, until you can start to feel
tension on the wheel
*	Back the nut off until you can insert the cotter key in one set of
the holes; there should be a side-to-side hole and an up and down hole.
*	When you have finished, the nut should be no more than finger tight.
You should be able to move the wheel very slightly on the bearing using the
leverage of the tire/wheel combination.

Be careful not to over-tighten the bearing.
