If you are not plugged into 110V you may very well have to do as you suggest.
If you are plugged in the coach has/had a converter which is designed to
convert 110V to 12V DC to run most things and charge the deep cycle
batteries.

The bulb they used is a type 1157 two filament bulb. Common automotive light.
The other single filament is an 1156.
