John,
 Actually, there IS a need for the OPD valves. I bought a 'new to me'
trailer a couple of months ago, and when I got it home and the tanks sat
in the sun for a while, they both started venting from the pressure
relief valves because they had been overfilled. The trailer was sitting
so that the tanks were shaded at the seller's place. Needless to say,
this is potentially dangerous. :-(
