All this hail talk, prompted by Hunter's awful--but obviously not 
unique--experience, makes me visualize taking the golf ball conceit a 
step further: Airstream could *make* them that way! A nice, uniform, 
factory-applied dimple pattern would help camouflage all manner of dings, 
not just hail damage. It might also increase the structural rigidity of 
the skin and, as with golf balls, even improve the aerodynamics. Only 
problem is, polishing would be--the pits.
