I agree. I've checked the box where the battery is supposed to go. (A battery is not yet hooked up). The female ends of the 12V battery connection are taped up, real well and don't seem to be making contact anywhere. What I could try, since there is no battery is to unhook those leads from the converter, just for the heck of it. I just went out with a test light, and my strongest light comes from the leads going to the battery. I have yet to try another cord, as it is currently raining. One thing I find strange is usually in automotive the negative lead from the battery is grounded to the frame. The negative feed from the converter to the battery is energized as is the red. In automotive that would be backward. Is this normal? Seems ground should be ground. Dennis |
