Re: [a/s] Electrical

Jim,
As far as I know the connection was not to any of the connections to the 12 volt wires leaving the box. That was my original theory was that the converter was just old, and developed some sort of electrical problem. Dead short in the 12 V system is ruled out due to the (12V)  fuses not blowing. Logic tells me a dead short should knock out a fuse immediately. My next step will be to check the voltage leaving the converter. In talking with my RV dealer, he says the 100 ft extension cord running to the house should not cause the problem, as there isn't much amp draw. Although he said something could be faulty in the cord. I still have my sights set on the cord though. Seems when they had the trailer in the shop, I remember stepping inside and they had numerous lights on. You'd think the technician would have noticed the lights going on, and off. But, I don't think that was the case. At this time, I need to rule out the possibility of the cord, and check the voltage.
