Hunter,
When I was last down in Mexico I lost the vent over my kitchen.  For a
temporary fix a local glass shop siliconed a peice of plexiglass over the
lip sorounding the the vent and it hasn't blown off yet.  I know its not
authentic, but I kind of enjoy having a skylight in my kitchen, utill I
replace it.
