I think that's a very cavalier attitude myself.  Of course, the guys who died 
using no sway control weren't there to disagree.

George Tripp has a 70s trailer, drive a one ton Dodge dually.... and still 
has the smarts to use sway control. 

I would hate any new person to come on this list and ask for advice and be 
told they don't need sway control because some people haven't had a 
problem...yet. We also have no way of knowing what conditions they are 
driving in.... all two lane back roads?  40 mph?  Or are they out there on 
the freeways with moving vans blowing by at 90 mph?

Sure, vintage Bambis and the like probably don't need anything.... but 30 
foot trailers do... if you want to be as safe as you can be.
