Hi fellow 'streamers,

Though I have not posted in some time (but continue to follow the list with 
interest), I must now humbly request info from my fellow listees.

I live in Edmonton, Canada (that's North of most of y'all), have a '67 
Ambassador heirstream (was my dad's).  We pull it with a '95 GM Suburban and 
have YET to take it thru the mountains (so far, we've always headed East, on 
holidays).  This year, with gas prices so high, we've opted for British 
Columbia, Christina Lake, to be exact.  We will be travelling thru Radium, 
then on to Creston, before we reach the Lake, which is a few miles from the 
U.S. border.

Question:   Is anyone out there familiar with the roads around Christina 
Lake?  (read:  Grand Forks, Osoyoos, etc.)

Our local motor association is preparing an itinerary for us, but nothing 
compares to actual experience.  Our "AMA" cannot comment on road grades, 
elevation, etc.  and this is where I hope someone on the list can "step up" 
and give us the "goods" on what to expect during our first mountainous 
climb.

Hoping y'all have a chance to put your silver twinkies to good use this 
summer...and thanks in advance.
