Hi Denise:
Yes, the price of gas is high, and so are the mountains around Osoyoos!
Having said that, I must add that the area is stunningly beautiful and
unique...it is the northern extension of the Sonora desert (most Canadians
do not know that). 

If you go, be sure to make sure that your brakes and controller are in good
condition.
