Re: [a/s] 25 ft Argosy

Ken: You are looking at a 24ft unit I am sure. I had a '76 rear bath
model. Trailer sag or droop was never a problem with the 24 or 25 ft
Argosy or Airstreams. In the '70s, as I understand it the Argosy's were
always even numbered lengths and the A/S the odd number. Mine actually
had a decal that said 24'. Mine was a nice trailer, had a dinette across
front. The paint on Argosy's was/is very good stuff and if original,
will polish up just like and automobile. Paint is still available and if
you want color codes let me know. Damaged paint can be touched up just
like a car. You should note the the front and rear caps are solid one
piece steel and not aluminum. Dents in these are fixed just like a car
fender. Rest of body is aluminum. Other then a few less frills the
Argosy is constructed the same as the Airstream. Some say Airstream used
blemishd aluminum unusable in the airstream and painted it for the
Argosy. I have had a 20ft, '77, the 24', 76 and now have a 30', '78. If
you have any other question please contact me.
