Re: [a/s] Moab, UT camping
I don't doubt it, but I'm not headed that way ... coming up from Mexican Hat,
Bluff, Blanding, Monticello, and headed East on I-70 to Rifle CO and then on up
through Meeker and Craig to get to Wyoming. On a tight schedule at that. So
the bare-bones Riverway campgrounds are ideal for my purposes. I get in, if I
am lucky, before it gets dark, and am on the road again by 7 or 7:30 the next
morning. No time to enjoy the amenities of a fancier campground anyway.
Will have to try to manage things so I can take a look at the Arches
campground. I presume it is a no-reservations setup, same as the National
Forest ones. If you have to get there in the morning, I would have to plan a
whole extra day ... normally I am on a two day schedule from here (an hour west
of Phoenix) to Medicine Bow, WY, and the same on the return trip. Just short of
1000 miles each way.
