I've seen the Spanish Trails campground ... driven past it, never stayed there
... but when I'm in Moab (six times a year) I prefer to stay in the Forest
Service campgrounds along the Colorado Riverway ... along State Route 128 which
turns R just north of town and comes out on I-70 about 30 miles farther along. 
It's dry camping of course ... the ones closest to Moab are often full,
especially on weekends, but toward the other end I have always found a space.

Depends what kind of camping you like, of course.
