2) The monitor panelthat my "black water" tank is full......when it's empty. A little back ground on this AS: I bought it from an older couple who had not used it for over a year. The tank was empty when I got it but possibly residue has dried and harden in the tank. What are my options?

The guages lie. Just peer into the tank from the toilet to check it. I backflush the blackwater tank with water from the grey water tank. I always save plenty of grey water to flush out the line after dumping the black. It is a good idea, also, to flush out the black water tank with a hose through the hookup provided near where the freshwater for the trailer goes in after dumping. Another trick I learned is to dump the black water as soon as I pull into a park. The tank has loosened its contents by the shaking and rattling on the road. I dump what I can first thing.

There are adjustments for the gauges but I don't bother. As long as I can see, I know how full the tank is. BTW, my black water tank always says "full."
