Hi All

One of the best things to use to remove tape residue without maring or
damaging the surface is WD-40. Spray it on, let it set then wipe with a
soft tissue or cloth. And, no I don't own stock in the company.

Regarding the AM radio string... a long wire for AM is always better.
One can be attached to the ferite core in the radio, passed thru the
airstream using insolators (do not allow to ground to the skin of the
airstream) and strung out.  Radio Shack sells various length long wires,
but they can easily be made using 14 or 16 gauge multistrand electrical
wire.
