My 81 Excella has 2 pull-out tables..  A big one at road-side is a fold-out.  
There is a sweeping "credenza" that goes from the end of the galley big 
enough for a large tv with tambour doors enclosing a cupboard of shelves 
below, then sweeps with only about a 12 inch top shelf all the way to the 
Goucho (futon-type) couch.  Next to the big cupboard, is the cabinet (also 
can be concealed by the tambour doors) which housed the radio I have for 
sale.  Next to that ... all with this sweeping 12 in. shelf running at table 
height toward the couch... is the fold-down table area.....so that when it's 
folded DOWN, it goes complete UNDER this 12 in. shelf.  To bring it UP, you 
pull up on the first table, and pull down a fold-up leg to secure it.  On the 
top of the table, is an identical table top which is hinged at the OUTSIDE 
edge, so that when you want it (you do not have to use it), you just grab it 
at the window side and flip over and out toward the curb.  These hinges are 
brass on mine, and are placed level with the surface of the table, so that 
they are concealed up or down.   
    This then gives you that LARGE sitting area mentioned by someone before.  
    I also have a small table with tiny shelves behind it (when it's folded 
down), just under the window at 'curbside' next to the door.  This is for use 
when seated at the curbside end of the couch; and a 'player' could pull up a 
chair to the opposite side and play games (cards), etc.  That player would be 
right in front of the door.
    Mine may be NOTHING like what you're looking for.....
