[a/s] Air Conditioning

I have located a '78 Argosy 24ft. trailer in excellent condition; it does
not have an a/c unit but the two 14in. vents w/fans.  I live in the
southeast so a/c is a must (trailer is located in northeast).  What
recommendations does the group have as far as type/make/model of unit that
should be installed for optimal, long-term performance, approx. installed
price I should expect to pay, and any potential problems (ie., routing of
outflow line, etc.)?   I have scanned most of the archive postings in both
airstream.net and airstream central but cannot find any specific
recommendations.  Once again, thanks.
