[a/s] RAM 3500 gear ratios

Looking for information, ideas, opinions and experience to help me here as I
chisel away the months till I retire.

The Dodge RAM 3500 lists 2 possible gear ratios.  The standard one is 3.54;
an optional choice is 4.10.  The new models are only offered with quad cab,
rear dual wheels and long (8 ft.) bed.  What's the better choice gear ratio
for towing a 34 foot airstream with a Hensley?

Would the optional Cummings turbo diesel engine make a difference in the
choice?  How about the optional 6 speed manual transmission?  How about an
after market exhaust brake system (whichever system doesn't invalidate the
warranty on the Cummings)?
