There has been some discussion of Pergo here of late, and I believe one
or two list members have installed it. I looked at it for flooring in my
house, but 2 considerations stopped me. First, I am an insurance
adjuster, and have seen it water damaged from storm water and also from
appliances like an overflowing dishwasher. The seems swell up and large
portions must be cut out and replaced. Second, my dog had a very hard
time walking on it on the sample section that I temporally laid to test
it out. Dog claws also make a pretty loud rat-a-tat sound. Home Depot
will let you buy and return a bundle of the planks so you can see how
you like the feel, the color, etc. They can also calculate the weight
per sq. ft. so you can see how much it will add to your trailer weight.
