Re: [a/s] Questions on our "new" '91 Limited.

Jerry,

I wondered about these jacks when I first looked at the Limited in
Cleburne. It was the first time I had really inspected a Limited and the
four jack arrangement looked really sophisticated, but I didn't
understand how they worked. The control panel was even a bit
intimidating. I figured a manual would simplify them a bit, but it looks
like you have questions too. Anyway, am I correct in assuming that each
of these jacks operate independently? If so, if one of them was cranked
down such that you had a three leg lift, could this stress the frame?
Can they be used for sideways leveling w/ no more Lynx or wood planks
under tires?

Concerning your lug nut problem I would probably try a little heat and
then the cheater bar approach. Since your lugs are recessed and covered,
the torch should not harm any visible wheel surface, and you can control
it fairly well anyway. Heat will break the chemical bond formed between
the nut and lug bolt and make freeing it a lot easier.
