Re: [a/s] Stablizers will jam door
When I look in my old 1959 Trailering Manual it states that the jacks are
not to be used to level a trailer. Common sense tells me that this applies
to new trailers too. The idea is to first level the trailer side to side
with leveling blocks or digging holes under the wheels if need be and then
leveling front to back with the hitch jack. I don't care if you use stack
jacks, the BAL levelers like on my unit or the new fangled powered push
button ones. The salesmen may try to tell you that the automatic levelers
will level your trailer, but in truth unless you have a 12'' I beam chassis
your front door is going to be tweaked. In reality all the jacks do is
stabalise a trailer thats all ready been levelled properly.
