Jack,
The shower in our '75 Excella 500 (center bath) leaked very badly.  We took
it to Walt's in Ocala, FL who replaced the shower pan (and did a beautiful
job).  He was able to find the exact pan still in stock.  We were glad that
it wasn't the pipes leaking.  You might try plugging up the drain and
filling it with water to see if it's the pan or the pipes leaking before you
remove any panels.
