Since Aug. of 1998 Airstream Excella's and Limited's have been made with a
new "bright" metal that is prefinished with a Urethane clearcote. So far in
testing and real world the finish is holding up very well. There isn't even
a need to Walbernize it. Keep it clean and it will shine on. The
Safari/Bambi's got the new metal as the old stuff ran out. I have not seen
anything to identify when that happened.
