I have an even better angle...let's go to the real
root of the cause...
The seal is sticking: ONE, it is old, and
disintegrating, or TWO, the surface of the metal it
seals against is dirty and not smooth and clean.


So I would say...replace the seal, clean-up the
surface, and no more problem. Presto!
I have never had the entrance plug door seal stick on
my trailer door. (And it is 25 years old). Except in
frozen weather...that is understandable.
