Hi all,

I drive a BMW and have subscribed to the BMW e-mail lists over the years. 
The concensus amongst the folks that know is that silicon based products 
(like Armor All and the like) are detrimental to rubber over time. 
Although I have used them over the years, I have changed to a product 
called "Gummi'Pflege." It is a rubber conditioner available at any BMW 
dealer. It works great and is supposed to be good for the rubber as well.
