[a/s] Hitches

I have a question I need to be answered, if there is an answered.  We use to 
have a '80 21" Caravelle and used the big hitch with the sway bars and all 
for it.  When we upgraded to the '92 34' Excella, they just welded and 
extension on the left side of the hitch for the other sway bar.  Our problem 
is that after driving for a while the left added piece is bent up toward the 
big ball.  We have had it reinforced without improvement.  We always take the 
sway bars, etc., off before making any sharp turns such as when parking.  Any 
ideas on the cause and remedy?
