Don and the list,

We have a '93 34' limited.  There was already a Fantastic fan back aft over
the queen bed.  But, there is a flourescent light adjacent to it for
lighting...so, no problem there.

I recently had installed an additional one up forward over the front lounge.
The flourescent light fixtrure/vent was removed/replaced with the new fan.
We have flourescent lights inside a vallance around the lounge, plus 2-120v
lamps for reading in the couch area and 2 more under the front cabinets, one
more on the ceiling just behind the crank for the antenna and then one
incandescent lamp at the entry.  In a nutshell, we felt there was enough
light existing so we could do without one of them.

I think the light fixtures would inhibit the operation of the fan.  The fan
moves SO much air that I think even if you could come up with a scheme to
control the fan (because the controls are on the fan) while being covered by
the light fixture, I think the fixture would wobble around.

I have seen other trailers that didn't have sufficient lighting besides the
existing middle-of the ceiling vent/light, but the owners added lamps, etc.

The installer of the Fantastic fan showed me the switched wires that he
taped and was tucking into the ceiling void in case I wanted to add a light
and utilize the switch.

By the way, I recommend the installers that travel the major function/rally
route.  They do a good job.  He also spent time with me showing me how the
rear one operated.  There's about 50+ models and they all operate somewhat
different.  He took the rear one apart because it worked "funny" to him.  He
replaced the lifting gear and some other little do-dads and added the new
trim piece to make it look like original equipment.  All for free!  I have
never met an unhappy Fantastic fan owner.
