Re: [a/s] noiseypower converter
I have the original Univolt in my 1978 Argosy (by Airstream) motor home. It is
located at the front of the coach, underneath the passenger-side captain's
chair. The hum is barely audible, if you are sitting next to it and listening
for it. It certainly doesn't interfere with sleeping ... OK, I'm used to
shipboard noise, but when boondocking I like it QUIET and even under those
circumstances ... say I'm plugged in at the back of someone's ranch house or
hunting lodge, or in a deserted campground during off season ... the Univolt is
for all practical purposes inaudible. Most of the time I'm not aware of its
existence.
<< Thanks for the help. I may have to replace the fridge also. The door on the
original is soft and doesn't seal well. >>
The door, or the door gasket? The latter should be easy to replace.
