[a/s] new to the airstream world

Hi folks
  My name is Al and my wife is Jeanene, we live in LaPorte Texas witch
is between Houston and Galveston on the ship channel.
  A few weeks ago we finily found our Dream an
Airstream, it's a 1969 25ft tradewind in pertty good shape, just needed
cleaned up and loved
because for the last four years it has set in an RV park as a rental
unit at Galveston.
  The body is in real good shape with all the outside storage doors in
place.
  The inside was yellow with cigerett smoke but that is ceaning up ok
also, just a lot of elbo grease, and the systems all work ok
(water,elect,and sewer) I did have to dig around in the holding tank
with a stick and water wand because in the park they just had the dump
valve opened and of course not enough water is used to keep all the
STUFF flushed out.
  I haven,t checked the furnace nor the airconditioner yet, at this
point the furnace isn,t important to me (we've had 40 to 80 degree
weather all winter.) and the air conditioner because I don't have any 30
amp circuts at my house and it just trips the 20 amp one that I,m hooked
to right now.
  Jeanene is making new curtains and couch cover, and she said thanks
youall for all the plugs for target, shes a cashier supervisor at
target.
  I,m a mailcarrier untill I retire in three more years so please use a
stamp once-in-a-while.
  Anyway I just gave $1000.00 cash for this Airstream, did I go wrong??
