RE: [a/s] Truck cap vs. roll-top cover
Mine is the woodland green (I think the red is snazzy, too!) And I can't
wait to pull with it either. First I have to get it hooked up. I need to
find an 8" drop bar to go from the receiver to the hitch head (Reese setup)
in order to get it down to the ball height of our 1972 A/S. That's one
factor to keep in mind when you buy these new Fords. They are _really_ tall.
One more inch, and I couldn't connect them without modifying the A/s tongue.
<<I think the big crew cab with the short bed makes the truck look stubby,
without a cap.>>
I agree with you. It does look out of proportion.
<<...detailed all the chrome, the ss grill>>
Did you put in one of those stainless steel billet-type grills? Mine's
plastic!
If I go with the truck cap, I'll get one of those Beaver Bed systems, too.
Those look very handy. I think I might get one with a toolbox built in.
Don mentions being able to get a generator in. This is a very good
consideration, because I do take the generator sometimes when we go
boondocking.
Thanks everyone for your replies!!!!
