Re: [a/s] Cable or Antenna??? NO RED LIGHT

Don't know if this is relevant, but my old (1978) Argosy motorhome has a
conventional roof antenna and the feed from that goes to a two-prong receptacle
on the driver's-side wall just above the switch for the lights over the galley
sink. That receptacle is part of a unit that projects slightly from the wall
and also includes a cigarette lighter type connector ... into which I usually
plug a reading light, a cell phone or similar. The connection for the TV
antenna is simply two rather small holes in the plastic next to the cigarette
lighter receptacle. You can find an appropriate two-prong plug at Radio Shack,
it connects to the usual two-conductor flat TV-antenna cable, not to a coax.

There are a couple of different sizes of two-prong plugs, so measure the hole
spacing to be sure of getting the right one. It took me a couple of false
starts to find one that fit.

Seems to me we discussed this on the list at that time (quite a while ago) and
maybe the messages are in Tom's archive, though I don't have a clue any more
what the title of the thread might have been.
