Mike,
The inspector's, so to speak, at some large rallies, are usually part of a 
safety committee that go around checking for gas leaks & many other safety 
hazards.  It is just a service to insure that you don't endanger your fellow 
rally constituents.  They usually check gas lines whether the owner of the 
trailer is present or not. You'd be surprised as to how many trailer owners 
don't know the first thing about safety when it comes to their LP system.  
They usually find many, many things wrong at rallies & most owners are 
thankful to have these things pointed out to them.
