Re: [a/s] Bruisers Oil Change

Hunter,

Do not, I say again do NOT plan on having your oil changed at a dealer
in North Jersey. My first oil change was $131.00. Then the sample to
Blackstone labs for another $16.00 post mortem. (I figure that since
the Powersmoke engine in the diesel hoss was $350 more than my first new
car, ['70 Camaro R/S] I want to catch any problems early!)

It does get easier though, the second oil change was only $114. ;^)
Guess they figured out how to do it quicker.

I'm waiting for the weather to get a little nicer before going to my
local guy as the 7700 pounds of vehicle is just a teensy bit close to
the 8000 pound rating of his lift and the 4500 front axle/3200 back axle
weight ratio is not quite comfortable to the mechanic, thus he'll have
to do the deed out on the apron.

On the other hand diesel fuel is down to $1.56/gal so fuel expenses can
be kept below $50 a week. (CUOFSOL)* so I guess ya just gotta take the
bad with the bad. (Wah).

Is it any wonder we want to retire?

Matt
