Re: [a/s] Wall Coverings

Cookie,

We just removed ours to recover. They had been recovered by the previous
owner. They are a sandwich of cardboard, very thin foam padding and the
uphostery fabric that matches the couch in front. The same fabric covers a
similar wall covering that hides the fuse panel under the front window, and
another section behind the small table, floor to wall under the curbside
front window. The fabric doesn't go with the bedspreads, which also didn't
go with the bedroom drapes. After making the new drapes we have enough
fabric left to cover the "wall thingies." But we will probably eliminate
the cardboard and use something water repellant because each "thingie" we
removed was water damaged. We will either use a thicker foam pad backed with
plastic, or we may use that blue styrofoam insulation building material
which really would keep the cold out, it is fairly pliable and should be
easy enough to cover.
