Re: [a/s] Vulkem Removal

Based on the information on the tube, I suggest calling Mameco at
800-321-6412 ... or the Adhesive tech center at 800-323-5158...

No personal experience with the product as yet but will be trying it as
soon as we can get the temp up a bit around here...distributor thought that
as long as I kept the tube inside, I could use it on the trailer as soon as
the temp got above freezing... I am hoping for 40- 50 before trying
anything...The comment made about the 116 product was that it cured to a
rough finish... not nice and glossy like some of the other products....maybe
that is not the right product for the Airstream...(he did say it was really
tough when cured.) Mameco has lots of different poly caulks....distributor
donated 2 tubes of 116 to the cause as samples...He also gave me some butyl
rubber tape that should make a good gasket...(1/2 inch wide and about 3/32
thick) I think I will try that under some of the lights...I think it would
work well under the rain gutter, (over the leaking rear window) but I would
have to take the gutter off to get the tape in place...
Good Luck....
