My new Safari has that, and yes I would be concerned.  As a firefighter, if
the heat hits that door, it would not only damage the door, but I suppose a
worst case would be that the same heat is also bouncing back on the trailer
and could (I say could, not would but could) start the trailer on fire.  As
a person in a wheel chair, that would be good enough for me.  I would never
have the heat button in the on position if you have the door open.
