At least in the case of Airstream, they were phased in over the year. Our 
February-built '73 Safari does not have the grey water tank; later '73 
Safaris did, though I have no idea exactly when in the year they showed 
up. (And that "start date" might have varied among models and assembly 
plants, too.)
