From what I have seen and heard, synthetic oils are not worth the expence.
You still have to change the oil every 3000 miles.  

When the synthetic oils came out, a big deal was made out of going longer
times  changes.  Since then the times have been reduced and reduced to the
point where there is no difference.

You have to wonder why it is better, since it cost much more than what you
have been using over the years.
