I have used Mobil One in my 99 Silverado since new and probably won't know
if it was worth it for another 100K miles... One of my gearhead buddies said
that GMC will be specifying Mobil One for some of its new engines... ( or
similar fluid)   I also use Marvel Mystery oil as an upper lube in the
gas...

I had some trepidation in going to the synthetic after experimenting with it
in an air cooled engine some years ago with disasterous results... So far
the Chev seems to get along with it quite well...
