I am utterly ignorant as to how most electric devices work, thus my prolific 
use of the terms "gizmo" and "gadget" . That said, have you checked out the 
website?  I only know that you can write email on your computer, transfer it 
to the Telemail or similar device, and hold the device up to any telephone. 
It emits various sounds which are "read" as text. Perhaps one of the 
engineers on the list can help us out...
