[VAL] Trade Wind for sale



Airstream Sale


Our Airstream is now for sale.  Its a 25 foot Trade Wind, 1972.
There is approximately 3 feet of hitch which translates into 22 feet
of living space, sleeps four comfortably.  Front couch / bed, center
twin beds, rear bath. Can be used immediately.  Last used in August
of 2007.

The hitch has been wire brushed and painted
Original electric tongue jack operates
New LP gas tanks, regulator and hoses installed
Outside running lights operate, most have been replaced
New tires one year ago
Wheel rims wire brushed and painted
Electric brakes operate
New heat pump installed and working
Inside walls cleaned from top to bottom and front to back
All windows open and fasten close, all have screens
Roof vents operate
Antenna functional, old style
Front couch opens into a bed, new support wood installed, original
upholstery ???
Two center beds have original spreads, can be pulled together to make
one large bed
Frig operates on both LP gas and 120 shore power
Oven operates on LP gas
Stove top burners work on LP gas, no working pilot light, must hand
light
Galley sink functions, tight plumbing connections, new faucets
Fresh water system operates on city water, pump ???
Hot water heater operates both on LP gas and on shore 120 power
Bathroom completely functional, fan operates
Battery is 3 years old
Univolt still functions, suggest replacing with new unit (new unit
and fuse panel go with camper)
All storage cabinets have functioning doors etc. and they fasten closed
Original side window curtains replaced with slim blinds
Front & rear (bath room) windows have no blinds
Dump valve operates and storage tanks have no leaks
Interior lights operate
Ceiling fan operates
Galley fan operates

If I kept the camper, Id want to do the following:
Furnace, have it out now replacing the main gas line, it works otherwise
Axles, replace complete with brakes to bring back up to standard
height and to improve ride, estimated $800 / $1,000
Frame rust should be addressed on rear curb side, suggest having that
done at Jackson Center, OH, estimated cost ???
Awning needs the pull tab repaired but otherwise operates as is
Replace main door gasket
Replace all window gaskets
Replace ceiling vent gaskets
Add some type of front and rear window curtain or blind
New upholstery

Reason for sale:  Wife is not a camper and has no interest in any RV.
