Hi All,
I'm new to the list and hunting my first Airstream. I did a little research
and printed out a valuation model from vintageairstream.com. Armed with my
newfound knowledge, I went out to see my first one yesterday. A 1972
27-footer.
Whew....what a mess. Massive frame corrosion, missing refrigerator,
non-functional inverter, non-functional A/C, plumbing leaks, skin leaks,
massive dent incurred in backing. The trailer had not been used in many,
many years. A great experience of what not to get! :-)
Is there a particular spread of year models that you folks prefer in the
mid-20 foot size range? Is there any particular methods you use to hunt down
good units? Anything in particular to watch for? Sure would appreciate any
advice you can offer.....
