Yeah. RV air conditioners seem to all be made to run on 120 VAC, so unless you have a
generator in your trailer like many MHs have, there isn't any way to have A/C anywhere
you can't plug in to 120V. Or is there?
To have an A/C like ours requires a 20 amp. circuit x 120 V = 2400 watts. At 12 V,
2400 W = 200 A! Not practical. Though...a neighbor's ex-Army helicopter starting pickup
truck has 2 160 A alternators!
2500 W inverters are $350 from Heartland America. Remember, you can't get something for
nothing. A 2500 W inverter will draw over 250 A at full load.
