Most aircraft have static dischargers mounted on the outboard of each wing and 
vertical stab (tail) to dissipate static electricity. Some autos in Europe have a 
static strip attached to the bottom of the vehicle for the same purpose.  
Electrical power units operated on the flightline also have a static strip 
attached to it which is in constant contact with the ground.
