Bobby: thanks, i think. I'll show your info to my "sheet metal man" and see if he understands it. He did mention that the step could be repaired if necessary, just thought it would be a lot less expensive to get a new step. It was a bear to get off, partly bolted, partly welded.... Jo Ann
