Subject: English Wheel

For English Wheel parts and plans and complete assemblies, look for "Home
Shop Machinist" or "Projects in Metal" magazines. Its quite practical to buy
just the wheel parts and fabricate the frame using ordinary structural
steel, probably 3" or 4" I beams.

As for the trailer in lightning post, the Airstream hitched or unhitched is
as good as a car because of the metal shell. It's that metal shell that
makes a car or truck (so long as it is really metal) safer in lighting. All,
car trailer or truck, are insulated from a good ground by the tires but the
shell carries the lightning current and which then jumps over the tires. The
trailer jack sitting on the ground is a slightly better ground but not good
enough to prevent shock.

Remember that the lightning has jumped a few thosand feet to reach the
trailer or vehicle, another few inches across the tires is nothing.
